Central School of Hapkido "Berkut" (it means "Golden Eagle") was founded August 10, 2005.
Since its inception, the school is one of the oldest organizations in the Russian Federation who practice Hapkido.
Head of the school "Berkut", Dmitry Kostrovsky, devoted to studying various martial arts more than 30 years.
Currently Dmitry Kostrovsky is the sole holder of a black belt 5 Dan on the qualifications of the World Hapkido Association and one of the few people in Russia with the title "Master of the art of Hapkido".
In 2007 and 2009, Dmitry Kostrovsky received personal thanks for his contribution to the development of Hapkido and personal achievement from the President of Korea Hapkido Federation Grandmaster O Se-Lim.
In 2010, Dmitry Kostrovsky recognized as "Master of the Year" of World Hapkido Association.
The head of the school and its students participate in seminars on Hapkido, Daito-ryu aikijujutsu, Aikido, held in the territory of Russia and other countries. Since 2011 students of the school "Berkut" also participate in open competitions in karate.
Central School of Hapkido "Berkut" enjoys warm and friendly relations with the Russian Union of Martial Arts, International Union of Martial Arts, as well as with virtually all organizations, practitioners of Hapkido in Russia and puts a priority to the development of Hapkido as a martial art, not the satisfaction of personal ambitions leaders.
